Kota returned to camp, complaining about how much Tribal Council sucks. Kelly got some screen time, because she was an ally to Paloma. Ace was annoyed that Kelly voted for him, and said she had "pent up animosity." Maybe she just has a different game plan than he does. Wonder if that ever crossed his mind?
Over at Fang, the battle of the rice continues. Randy wants them to have one meal a day, and Crystal, GC, and Ken want nothing more than more rice. I think I agree with rationing. Randy, Dan, Susie, and Matty went off to "pick fruit," which was totally obviously scheming. Randy says they are not his alliance, but they are his friends. Seemed a lot like an alliance to me.
Not wasting any time, it's a time for a meeting with Jeff!
It's a ranking challenge. Ugh. Hate hate hate this kind of thing. Rank the tribe, in order of importance to the tribe, and then they will take their place on none-to-subtle poles.
Kota's ranking (from most to least important as voted by the tribe in private) is Marcus, Ace, Bob, Charlie, Jacquie, Corinne, Sugar, and Kelly. Marcus was shocked to be ranked first, and is worried it puts a target on his back. Kelly is bitter at being the last picked. Ace (in confessional) says she is last because she's whiny and doesn't do anything.
Fang's ranking is Matty, Dan, Randy, Crystal, Dan, GC, and Susie. Everyone but the top 3 are upset.
And it's a tribal shake up! Matty called it a buzzkill.
Marcus and Matty got to be Captains and pick the first new members for their tribes. It's another schoolyard pick. Ugh. I hate these.
Marcus got first pick and chose Dan. Matty chose Ace. Dan chose Charlie (keeping the core of the Onion together). Ace chose Crystal. Charlie chose Randy. Crystal chose Jacquie. Randy chose Corinne (another onion layer - losing only Jacquie). Jacquie chose Ken. Corinne chose Susie after some consultation. Ken chose Kelly because she's hot. Susie chose Bob. Kelly chose GC with no other choice. Sugar, last picked, was sent to Exile, where she will stay until after the next Tribal Council, when she will join whichever tribe voted someone out. Luckily, she can choose Comfort, seeing as she already has the Hidden Idol.
The newly mixed Kota returns to their camp. Susie intends on getting in with Bob and being a hard worker around camp.
In Exile, Sugar calls the Comfort Hut her Sugar Shack. There is all sorts of food in the hut for her, and she enjoys some swimming and sunbathing. She is hoping to go back to Fang to be with Ace once they hopefully boot Kelly.
Over at Fang, Ace showed off his knowledge, and Kelly let it be known that she felt outside on the other tribe, and GC is feeling good. Crystal tells Ken that Kelly is not ok with Ace. Kelly is ready to jump ship, and Kelly is not feeling good about Jacquie, saying that she has a thing for Ace. A new alliance is formed.
Tree Mail brings what looks a lot like flattened lacrosse sticks and a big ball, which they can practice with before the Immunity Challenge.
The Challenge consists of each Survivor in a hard to control raft with a paddle, and they will pass the ball among the other tribe members trying to get into the other tribe's goal. Seems simple enough. 3 points to win.
Jeff tossed the first ball out, and though Jacquie is the first to get the ball, she loses it, and Marcus grabs it away. Randy scooped it up and made a goal against Fang. The next ball went out (with all players back in their starting positions), and Marcus got the ball first, and had almost no opposition. Kelly did almost nothing, and Randy made a second goal with no one in defense of the Fang goal. The third ball went out and Ace was on the coarse. Marcus got there first, but there was a battle for possesion with Ace. Marcus made a crazy toss and no one seemed able to make any sort of movement, except Ace, who used his hands to paddle close, but not before Marcus made a pass to Randy. The goal was blocked, and a couple people fell into the water, but then Randy made a third and final goal to give Kota the win.
Probst said that Fang's performance was "one of the worst ever at a challenge." Ouch. It was pretty pathetic, out there in the Marcus and Randy show. Those boats looked like a pain to maneuver, but most people weren't even trying. I think Kelly is probably done for. Ace said that the Challenge felt like they were legless chickens fighting against sleek weasles - those weasles would of course be the duo of Randy and Marcus. GC complained about Ken's ineptitude in the challenge, and Jacquie did well enough, but Kelly basically said she was over it and it wasn't worth talking about. That alliance looks like it's crumbling in record time.
The only thing that might change the minds of GC, Crystal, and Ken is the possibility of Sugar having the Immunity Idol. They talk about going for Jacquie instead of Kelly, because Sugar is more likely to share the idol with Ace or Jacquie. Matty had a chat with Jacquie about this possibility, and said that he just has to convince the others that Kelly sucks. Jacquie went to chat with Ken, and told him that she was on the outs with Sugar and Ace and wants to go with them. Is it a play? Is it real? I don't know. Even though he is good at challenges, I still think they need to get rid of Ace. He is going to end up dominating if they don't look out for him. Jacquie then pleaded her case with Crystal, crying that she just wants to be their fourth. We'll see how this pans out.
Tribal Council
Ken admits that it's hard to trust anyone, and Matty said he is not sure if he can trust Ace, but he wants him on his side, because he's strong. Kelly called Ken and Crystal weak in the challenge, and Crystal stook up for herself saying that in no way is she weaker than Kelly in the normal sense of the word. Jacquie looks like she's giving herself an ulcer worrying about her fate. Ace voted for Kelly, and Kelly voted for Jacquie. The other votes were hidden.
In what may be a very very poor decison, Jacquie was voted out, leaving the wet blanket of Kelly on the tribe. Sugar will join the Fang tribe next week, and Ace looked like the cat that ate the canary.

Project Runway: 10/8/08
The designers had lots of time (2 months) and tons of money ($10,000) to create 10 looks, including a wedding dress which is their final challenge. The wedding dress has to represent them as designers and represent their line.
Before heading off, Tim and Heidi told the designers that they want to be amazed. Kenley got in some more snotty attitude before heading home, claiming that the other designers completely sabotaged her at the botanical challenge. Surrrre.
A month later, Tim visited Korto first. Her designs include her own bead work, with some ethnic colors, but not too insane. Tim worried about the possible sexual imagery of a dress that had a big ... um .... slit down the front. Her wedding dress is gold, and not traditional at all. Tim urged her to do something to make it more obvious wedding instead of red carpet. Korto's family seems super sweet (her daughter is absolutely adorable), and Korto did a drumming performance for Tim. It was wonderful. I like her a lot, as a designer and as a person.
Next stop for Tim is Leanne's, in Portland. Leanne's boyfriend seems suitably sweet for her. Leanne's collection is based on wave patterns, and it is intersting. Tim worried about some of her whites being too white. Her wedding dress is pretty neat, but Tim worried it didn't have the "ease and flow" of the rest of her collection. I understand that. She then brought Tim out on a Tandem Bike ride to a beautiful outdoor area that was very peaceful.
Off to LA, where Jerell was waiting. Jerell's grown himself a goatee, and it's a little weird. Jerell is working with a lot of different textures. Some of it looks like a little too much. One of his dresses looks like it's made of chain mail. Tim urged him to edit edit edit. Apparently when he was a child, he made a dress with a train out of a tube sock. That's cute. His mom said she was always sure that he would be doing something creative.
Over in Brooklyn, Tim meets up with Kenley. Turns out Kenley's inspiration was her grandmother, who was a calendar girl in the 40's. Sadly, she passed away a couple of months ago. Kenley did some garish-looking (though well done, I suppose) painted flowers onto fabric, and another dress has a strange rope collar, which Tim thought was reminiscent of people hanging themselves. This idea had never crossed Kenley's little mind, and she is insistant that she is just into ropes. Apparently it's because her dad was a tugboat captain. There is one really beautiful feathered dress, which Tim really loves, and so do I. If that is her wedding dress (and I think it is), the bitch might just make it into the finals. Damn.
Back in NYC, Leanne and Korto arrive first and get to room together, sticking Jerell with Kenley. Poor boy. Kenley arrived and claimed that she wanted bygones to be bygones. I just cannot stand her voice. At all. Tim sent them some champagne, and everyone drank toasts.
The next day, they all got to unpack their work in the workroom. Tim showed off to announce that they have one more challenge. They have to design a bridesmaid dress to accompany their wedding dress. Groans all around. They have only until the next day to finish their dress, and $150. Product placement for Brother Sewing Machines. There's a groan from me.
Kenley got bitchy at Korto (but while laughing, does that make it better? Not in my book), and Jerell said he didn't need to make his dress pretty, because bridesmaid dresses are supposed to be ugly. Enter Tim. Kenley is doing a bubble skirt dress, which I hate. She seems ambivalent, and Tim is worried. Jerell's dress looks homemade and messy. It could be pretty, but the fabric is weird. Leanne's new wedding dress (which is entirely redone) is really gorgeous. and the bridesmaid dress is really pretty. Tim urges her to go shorter rather than longer. Korto's bridesmaid dress is so close in color to her wedding dress that Tim worries they will compete with one another. Tim broke down a little before leaving them to finish their work for the night.
There was less "Make it Work" from Tim this season, and I am saddened by that.
Kenley is pissy when Leanne and Korto also have short bridesmaid dresses, because apparently she had the monopoly on short dresses. Um... no.
Runway time!
Heidi, Nina and Micheal are the sole judges this week.
Jerell's Wedding Dress: Yipes, there's a lot going on. The thing looks wrinkled and crumpled and it didn't help that he stuck a bouquet on top of her head, the poor thing. The tulle is half exposed on the bottom and it looked like perhaps half of the skirt ripped off. Not good.
Jerell's Bridesmaid Dress: The color is nice, the shape could be nice, but the top looks ill-fitted and the whole thing looks crumpled. Tafetta? hmm
Kenley's Wedding Dress: I actuall love this dress. The feathers are fun and well done, and the tulle looks like it's supposed to be exposed, not like the model got snagged on something on the way onto the runway and decided to go with it. The color is nice and cheery, a pale yellow, without being canary. Somehow, even with all the feathers, her model does not look like a demented bird, but a lovely bride.
Kenley's Bridesmaid Dress: Damn it, this is nice, too. It's a lovely blue color, and though it isn't anything new or exciting, it is well done and actually compliments the wedding dress nicely. I still hate the bubble skirt.
Korto's Wedding Dress: I was not fond of the top, because it looked like coffee filters stuck to her arms, and the fit was weird and not flattering, with a bubble look from waist to mid-thigh. Since when did that look good on anyone? Not sure about this one.
Korto's Bridesmaid Dress: Quite nice, actually. I'm a little in love with the belt, and the silhouette was quite flattering.
Leanne's Wedding Dress: Stunning. Does that dress have pockets? Nice. I could have used The bubble on this one is from waist to mid thigh, but in a more flattering way that Korto's - perhaps because the waist is more fitted and there is more flare. It is interesting and definitely something I can see actually being in a wedding.
Leanne's Bridesmaid dress: I love the color, and the details go very well. Again, I am not fond of the bubble skirt, but it's not as in your face as Kenley's bubble, so it is nice.
Michael loves Leanne's wedding dress, and Nina thought it was modern and dreamy, and she loved the bridesmaid dress. Heidi called it fantastic.
Michael said that he loved Jerell's wedding dress from the empire waist down, but said that the top looked like it had wings over her boobs, over a layer of jeweled boobs. Very very unflattering. He called it garish. Heidi said that it looked messy, and called the bridesmaid dress "mumsy." Nina said that the grey tulle in the wedding dress made it look dirty.
Kenley's wedding dress is called a little Alexander McQueen, and said that it was done well, and still looked Kenley. (Kenley, who claimed previously to never look at other's collections, claimed that her dress was nothing like anything seem from Alexander McQueen. I wouldn't know, but I'm just saying). He called her bridesmaid dress the cutest damned dress he's ever seen. Kenley is pleased to get some praise. Heidi said that she could see Kenley wearing the dress for her own wedding someday, and called the two dresses crazy good.
Korto's dress was not well received. Heidi said she would never want to be the bride. Nina said that she didn't see how the two dresses related to each other, and Michael said that the wedding dress looked overworked, and the bridesmaid dress looked underworked.
After the judges confer, Leanne and Kenley are swiftly announced as safe, and I have to say, they both deserve it (even though I don't like Kenley, her dresses were beautiful). Korto will be the third designer to show at fashion week, and I am happy. I like what I saw of her collection, and I did not like Jerell's at all. The chainmail top was just way too much.
These three women will show three completely different shows. It's fun to have it between three women. Looks like next week there is going to be some more Kenley talking back to Tim, and how could we end the season without more of that?

Amazing Race - 10.5.08
Phil reminds viewers that the teams landed in Salvador, Brazil last time.
Hey, more fun, Sarah and Terence had a meltdown again at the pit stop. These two are newly dating, and I really get a super creepy vibe from Terence. He's really controlling and doesn't want Sarah to talk to anyone else? What is that all about? That sounds like a disfunctional relationship from the get go.
The teams have to fly to Fortaleza, Brazil, 640 miles away. They have to fly there, then travel by taxi to a small town and find their next clue.
Nick and Starr are first to the airport, followed by Ken and Tina. Next come the happy couple Terence and Sarah, and Terence pouts about getting hit in the head by the hatchback of the cab. He flipped out at Sarah because she didn't see the cut, and then, in the cab, made her not only clean it off ("I want my head to be clean.") but blow on it before putting a band aid on. Seriously? I'm at a loss for words.
Mark and Bill are off next, with much less drama. After them, I lost track of what the order was after that.
As the teams get to the airport, they search desperately for flights. Ken and Tina, Nick and Starr, and Terence and Sarah appear poised to get on a first flight, but then Tina did some schmoozing at the airport and the airline skipped to a larger plane. Since the plane is bigger, all of teams got on the first flight. Tina made sure that everyone knew that she was responsible for the larger plane. That's annoying, and possibly not true. Marisa and Brooke give out candy for helpful and cute boys. Tina then cut in line after not waiting at all, because she is so sure it is her doing that got the bigger plane. Terence got pissy about it, of course. What I find hilarious is that they are fighting about the order they are getting on the same plane.
In the end, Terence and Sarah got out of the plane and into a cab first. Hilariously, Ken and Tina and Nick and Starr are last to get cabs.
Once they get to the little town, they have to take Dune Buggies to the Barraca D Manuel, where a vendor will give them their next clue. They don't have to drive the dune buggy themselves, so they just have to enjoy it.
Stephanie and Anthony have the first "wow, we aren't so bad off ourselves" epiphany, when faces with the poverty in Brazil. Marisa and Brooke simply enjoy the cute boys on the beach.
Detour
Beach It - travel by dune buggy to a beach, choose a two man crew, and get a traditional Brazilian boat into the water by a traditional method using logs and a lot of muscle.
Docket - travel by dune buggy to a shipyard, and search for a specific container by serial code number.
Kelly and Christy and Dallas and Toni choose Beach It. Mark and Bill go to Docket, because they are self-professed geeks. Nick and Starr go for Beach It, and Marisa and Brooke start to shun heavy work and go for Docket, but then decide to go for Beach It when they see the boats - or possibly cute boys who could be their crew. Not sure which. Ken and Tina Beach It, and Andrew and Dan and Aja and Ty follow suit.
Mark and Bill handily locate their serial number in the computer, and head out to grab their clue in the shipyard. They quote Yoda, and I love them a little. It took them a while to find their container, but they found it and were off.
Terence yells at Sarah in the Beach It challenge because she is tired, and he blames her exhaustion on the fact that she did pushups in the morning. The Frat Boys are ridiculous and try jumping on the boat instead of actually doing the work. That didn't last long.
Terence and Sarah, tragically, finish the Detour first. The next step in the leg is to travel by designated taxi to Parque dr Vaquejada. Nick and Starr get the next one. Terence and Sarah, happily, headed off in the wrong direction for the taxis. Christy and Kelly throught they needed a container from the boat, because they got confused about the other detour, and they spent some time digging at the beach. Meanwhile, others went right along. Tina balked at crossing a swampy area and bitched at Ken a little.
Searching for taxis in the wrong place, Terence suggested stopping for ice cream. Man, he is a moron. Other teams in taxis are passing them, and Tina wanted Ken to stop to help them, but Ken refused. Dallas and Toni took pity on them and told them where to get the taxi.
Creepiness ensued when Terence started complaining about the taxi's location, and Sarah asked him to give her something she could control, and he said "Your love for me?" He gives me the heebies.
The Frat boys came in next, and Kelly and Christy finally gave up their digging and went on to the taxis. The Blondes narrowly edged out Stephanie and Anthony, who got last place in this detour. Terence and Sarah managed to get into a taxi finally right before Stephanie and Anthony.
The taxis waited while the teams got their next clue.
Roadblock: In Plain Sight
One team member must search on a 600 foot wall of writing for the name of their next destination, Cidade Da Crianca. They must supply the correct name to a painter, who will give them their clue.
Mark and Bill were very clever, writing down all the names of places on the wall, and brought that right to the painter. Tina caught onto this technique. I'm surprised she didn't try to pass the idea off as her own.
Mark and Bill finished first, and they have to go to the Pit Stop, at Cidade Da Crianca. Because she piggybacked on Mark and Bill's idea, Ken and Tina got their clue second.
Kelly and Christy didn't have their taxi wait, and they have another mishap in clue reading.
Ken and Tina take first in this leg, and win an offroad vehicle each. Mark and Bill take second.
Even more creepiness before Sarah did the Roadblock, Terence (aka Mr. Sensitivo, according to Sarah) insisted on a kind of creepy kiss before letting her go. Though Christy and Kelly got their clue next, they seemingly had no way of getting to the pit stop because they let their taxi go. Many of the teams made the challenge much harder than it needed to be, looking for color coding and secret clues. Nick offered to help Sarah (according to her), and then left her, and she declared him to be her enemy.
Annoyingly, Terence and Sarah took third place at the pit stop. Aja and Ty came in fourth, with Dallas and Toni coming in fifth. Terence and Sarah declare their love for Dallas and Toni for helping them.
Nick promised to help Frat Boy, and then took off and did not help him. Christy and Kelly finally figured out that their taxi was right next door the whole time. and the Blonde despaired of thinking, horribly mangling the Spanish and finally getting the clue.
Nick and Starr came in sixth, followed by Kelly and Christy, then the Frat Boys, followed by Marisa and Brooke, leaving Stephanie and Anthony to be eliminated. We hardly knew ye.
Still really disliking Ken and Tina, and seriously, I sense Future Stalker in Terence. *shudder*
Hey, more fun, Sarah and Terence had a meltdown again at the pit stop. These two are newly dating, and I really get a super creepy vibe from Terence. He's really controlling and doesn't want Sarah to talk to anyone else? What is that all about? That sounds like a disfunctional relationship from the get go.
The teams have to fly to Fortaleza, Brazil, 640 miles away. They have to fly there, then travel by taxi to a small town and find their next clue.
Nick and Starr are first to the airport, followed by Ken and Tina. Next come the happy couple Terence and Sarah, and Terence pouts about getting hit in the head by the hatchback of the cab. He flipped out at Sarah because she didn't see the cut, and then, in the cab, made her not only clean it off ("I want my head to be clean.") but blow on it before putting a band aid on. Seriously? I'm at a loss for words.
Mark and Bill are off next, with much less drama. After them, I lost track of what the order was after that.
As the teams get to the airport, they search desperately for flights. Ken and Tina, Nick and Starr, and Terence and Sarah appear poised to get on a first flight, but then Tina did some schmoozing at the airport and the airline skipped to a larger plane. Since the plane is bigger, all of teams got on the first flight. Tina made sure that everyone knew that she was responsible for the larger plane. That's annoying, and possibly not true. Marisa and Brooke give out candy for helpful and cute boys. Tina then cut in line after not waiting at all, because she is so sure it is her doing that got the bigger plane. Terence got pissy about it, of course. What I find hilarious is that they are fighting about the order they are getting on the same plane.
In the end, Terence and Sarah got out of the plane and into a cab first. Hilariously, Ken and Tina and Nick and Starr are last to get cabs.
Once they get to the little town, they have to take Dune Buggies to the Barraca D Manuel, where a vendor will give them their next clue. They don't have to drive the dune buggy themselves, so they just have to enjoy it.
Stephanie and Anthony have the first "wow, we aren't so bad off ourselves" epiphany, when faces with the poverty in Brazil. Marisa and Brooke simply enjoy the cute boys on the beach.
Detour
Beach It - travel by dune buggy to a beach, choose a two man crew, and get a traditional Brazilian boat into the water by a traditional method using logs and a lot of muscle.
Docket - travel by dune buggy to a shipyard, and search for a specific container by serial code number.
Kelly and Christy and Dallas and Toni choose Beach It. Mark and Bill go to Docket, because they are self-professed geeks. Nick and Starr go for Beach It, and Marisa and Brooke start to shun heavy work and go for Docket, but then decide to go for Beach It when they see the boats - or possibly cute boys who could be their crew. Not sure which. Ken and Tina Beach It, and Andrew and Dan and Aja and Ty follow suit.
Mark and Bill handily locate their serial number in the computer, and head out to grab their clue in the shipyard. They quote Yoda, and I love them a little. It took them a while to find their container, but they found it and were off.
Terence yells at Sarah in the Beach It challenge because she is tired, and he blames her exhaustion on the fact that she did pushups in the morning. The Frat Boys are ridiculous and try jumping on the boat instead of actually doing the work. That didn't last long.
Terence and Sarah, tragically, finish the Detour first. The next step in the leg is to travel by designated taxi to Parque dr Vaquejada. Nick and Starr get the next one. Terence and Sarah, happily, headed off in the wrong direction for the taxis. Christy and Kelly throught they needed a container from the boat, because they got confused about the other detour, and they spent some time digging at the beach. Meanwhile, others went right along. Tina balked at crossing a swampy area and bitched at Ken a little.
Searching for taxis in the wrong place, Terence suggested stopping for ice cream. Man, he is a moron. Other teams in taxis are passing them, and Tina wanted Ken to stop to help them, but Ken refused. Dallas and Toni took pity on them and told them where to get the taxi.
Creepiness ensued when Terence started complaining about the taxi's location, and Sarah asked him to give her something she could control, and he said "Your love for me?" He gives me the heebies.
The Frat boys came in next, and Kelly and Christy finally gave up their digging and went on to the taxis. The Blondes narrowly edged out Stephanie and Anthony, who got last place in this detour. Terence and Sarah managed to get into a taxi finally right before Stephanie and Anthony.
The taxis waited while the teams got their next clue.
Roadblock: In Plain Sight
One team member must search on a 600 foot wall of writing for the name of their next destination, Cidade Da Crianca. They must supply the correct name to a painter, who will give them their clue.
Mark and Bill were very clever, writing down all the names of places on the wall, and brought that right to the painter. Tina caught onto this technique. I'm surprised she didn't try to pass the idea off as her own.
Mark and Bill finished first, and they have to go to the Pit Stop, at Cidade Da Crianca. Because she piggybacked on Mark and Bill's idea, Ken and Tina got their clue second.
Kelly and Christy didn't have their taxi wait, and they have another mishap in clue reading.
Ken and Tina take first in this leg, and win an offroad vehicle each. Mark and Bill take second.
Even more creepiness before Sarah did the Roadblock, Terence (aka Mr. Sensitivo, according to Sarah) insisted on a kind of creepy kiss before letting her go. Though Christy and Kelly got their clue next, they seemingly had no way of getting to the pit stop because they let their taxi go. Many of the teams made the challenge much harder than it needed to be, looking for color coding and secret clues. Nick offered to help Sarah (according to her), and then left her, and she declared him to be her enemy.
Annoyingly, Terence and Sarah took third place at the pit stop. Aja and Ty came in fourth, with Dallas and Toni coming in fifth. Terence and Sarah declare their love for Dallas and Toni for helping them.

Survivor Gabon: 10.2.08
Will Fang continue their losing streak?
Well, they are feeling pretty good about their ouster of Gillian, and GC seems completely inept at breaking a small branch. Randy declares that the whole tribe is stupid, so maybe Michelle had a point.
Day 7, and Fang is halfway through their rice because they have been eating 3 meals a day. Man. That's what I call bad planning. Randy tries to convince them to cut down to 2 meals, and GC is upset about the idea. Randy says (in confessional) that GC is the cancer of the tribe because he won't listen to anything. GC accuses Randy of trying to be a leader, and he denies it, and GC bitches at him about it. Very annoying.
Over on Kota, Marcus catches some fish, and Charlie contemplates his onion alliance. Paloma and Kelly don't like Ace, who is bonding with Sugar. Sugar hopes that Ace can take care of her and be a strong ally.
Tree mail time, and the reward challenge seems to be about comfort. Ace wants people to not worry so much about winning this one, and advises to keep the stronger people for the immunity challenge.

One member of each tribe will be stationed at a post, and two people from the other tribe will run out and try to dislodge the person on the post and drag them back across a line. They can swap positions in each round. The first tribe to get two people beyond their line wins. The reward is blankets, a hammock, pillows, and a mat, and the chance to send someone from the losing team to Exile.
Ken is sitting out for Fang, and Corrine, Jacquie, and Kelly are sitting out for Kota (they have to be even, women to men, in this challenge). The first post people are Ace and Dan. Ace yawns cockily. I hope GC and Matty take him down. Charlie and Marcus are the attackers from Kota. GC and Matty can't get Ace off the post, and meanwhile, Marcus and Charlie take Dan down. GC gave up at the end.
Susie and Paloma are on the posts next, and Bob and Sugar are attacking for Kota with Crystal and Randy attacking for Fang. Paloma never stood a chance.
For the final round, Ace and Dan are back on the posts, with Marcus and Bob attacking for Kota, with Crystal and Matty attacking for Fang. Crystal and Matty and Marcus and Bob are neck and neck. Crystal did some great dragging and helps Fang win their first Challenge. They send Sugar to Exile.
Fang is excited about finally winning something, but Kota (mainly Ace) is not upset about losing. Ace has a bullseye on Paloma.
Over at Exile, Sugar does some Idol searching (opting wisely out of comfort), but freaks out about bugs. She freaked out more in confessional because she really hopes that Survivor helps her get where she needs to be in life, emotionally. (Her father passed away 7 months ago).
She finds the second clue in the sandy crater, and finds the next clue high in a tree. She goes off in search of burnt wood and gets the next clue, which tells her she has to wade through water and she does some good wading, and finds the idol! I think that Sugar just earned a lot of respect in my eyes. She did way better than Dan did. Good for her. Just hope she doesn't use it to save Ace or something stupid like that.
Back at camp, Bob talks to Ace about how either Sugar or Paloma needs to be the first to go, and Ace thinks that they should keep Sugar because Ace likes her. Bob went to Corrine, who made her move to bring him into the Onion alliance. Nice move. Will the Hidden Idol come into play?
With tree mail come their swim suits. It's bikini time in Gabon.
Immunity Challenge
One at a time, the Survivors have to launch themselves down slippery slides and into the water. They will then swim out to retrieve numbered tiles. A puzzle solver will then solve a math problem to raise a flag and win immunity.
Paloma and Sugar sit out.
Crystal and Kelly go down first, and Crystal has a height advantage to get her tiles without even swimming. Susie is out next, followed by Corrine. Susie heads back while Corinne makes up time and passes her. GC and Charlie are up next, and Kota pulls ahead. Jacquie and Randy go next, and Ace cockily does tricks on the slide, flipping. Kota is one whole package ahead.
I have to think that Bob has the advantage over Ken doing the puzzle, but I could be wrong. They are both working hard on the puzzle, but Bob's first attempt is wrong, as is Ken's. Amazingly, Ken's second attempt is right when Bob's is not, and Fang wins immunity. Good for them. This could get interesting.
Sugar makes the blunder of telling Ace that she has the idol, and he claims that it is "theirs" and they will dominate the game. Ace has it out for Paloma.
Paloma goes to Corinne about how much she mistrusts Ace, and Corinne admits in confessional that she isn't even sure that Ace's accent is real. Corinne then goes to Charlie about possibly getting rid of Ace.
Time for Tribal to see how it all shakes down.
Paloma can't disguise her dislike for Ace, and Kelly can't come up with a decent reason that Ace is an assett to tribe, but just says that he is condescending. Ace doesn't even have his bags with him. I hope he gets voted off for that alone.
The Hidden Immunity Idol remains hidden.
Paloma's cuteness and attempts at scheming did not save her. Cocky Ace remains. Oh well. Give it time.

Project Runway: 10/1/08
Down with Kenley!!!
Now that's off my chest, let's see what the designers are up to this week. Even Leanne is sick of Kenley's attitude. Kenley thinks that it's Leanne's fault that she bombed on last week's challenge, claiming that "she made it look like a fool's outfit."
No, Kenley, you did that all by yourself.
Jerell is lonely as the only man left, and he has made friends out of apples and oranges and syrup bottles. It's funny to watch, as he plays with them, calling them by ousted men's names, but if this goes on any longer, I worry for his sanity.
Heidi is in a crazy short - and none too flattering - leopard print dress. It's the first outfit of hers that I didn't like at all. To find out their challenge, they head out for a fieldtrip with Tim. Kenley hopes that the challengs is in her comfort zone. Since I doubt they are designing for the cast of a remake of I Love Lucy, I doubt she'll get her wish.
They end up at the botanical gardens, which is gigantic and gorgeous. They meet with Collier Strong, the makeup artist for L'oreal Paris. The challenge is to create an evening gown using nature as their muse. They have cameras to record their observations, and an hour to take pictures and wander around the gardens. What fun!
Jerell got into taking pictures with joy, and Leanne freaks out about bees (after tonight's Pushing Daisies, I appreciate bees even more), but then finds some great flowers. Korto says that she is looking forward to using some colors that could have been found in Kenyan flora. Kenley is just about in heaven because she loves garish prints and colors.
They have half an hour to choose a picture to use as their inspiration, and then off to Mood. Everyone seemed to find some good stuff. Back in the workroom, Korto is unsure about what to do - because she has virtually no background in evening wear. Turns out, Kenley forgot her tulle at Mood! As a subsitute for tulle, she's using drafting paper. Jerell and Korto both have tulle leftover, but they are not going to share with Kenley because she has a bad attitude.
The next morning, the designers (except for Kenley, who is pouting) have a little fun before heading off to Parson's. Kenley starts begging for tulle, and is relieved when Tim says that she can go back and get it as long as she paid for it. Is it wrong that I'm sad that she is going to be able to get it? I know, I know, I'm mean.
After their fitting with their models, enter Tim and Collier, who is there to consult for makeup looks. After that is done, Kenley is all alone, boo hoo, while the other designers having some fun. Kenley complains and whines in confessional before heading out to Mood to go get her forgotten tulle. We got some Kenley backstory, and I still don't care about her.
Enter Tim, who is concerned about Korto's lace. Tim is concerned about Kenley's scales instead of leaves, but she says that's what she was going for anyway. He said, "Well, we have a botanic theme, not aquatic," and I love him more. Tim is loving Jerell's beginning, but he has a lot of work to do. He is not loving Leanne's design, calling it "Hello, Dolly!" Ouch. I actually think it's looking a bit like a disaster, so I hope that she can pull it out.
Everyone's emotional before the start of their final morning of work (and final show before Fashion Week!). Lots of tears. I can't blame them. Kenley bitches about how she hates everything that everyone else does, and she has the gall to call the others one-note. Um. Pot? Meet kettle.
Runway Time!
Heidi's looking much better in her runway outfit, and joining her, Michael, and Nina is Georgina Chapman, whom I am not familiar with, but she seems nice enough.
Korto's Design: The silhouette is quite lovely, and it's dramatic. It could be a prom dress, I think.
Leanne's Design: It certainly looks inspired by the flower. Don't know about the bright blue she hastily attached to the ass....
Jerell's Design: The bodice looks ill-fitted and too low, but the colors and beading is quite nice. It looks a bit like a maternity dress to me.
Kenley's Design: It isn't as 50's as I would expect, and it is interesting. Humph.
Starting with Leanne, the judges like the detail, but also have a problem with the blue bustle on the ass. The judges think that Korto's dress is a little pageanty, and call it bad fabric choice with shoddy beading and weird lace that didn't fit. Korto began to cry, and I'm sad for her. Heidi mentioned that she wanted to yank up Jerell's bodice, and I'm glad that she mentioned that. Nina calls it youthful, but says it looks messy. Michael says it's off in an interesting way. They give Jerell a chance to explain what he would have done with more time. Kenley pats herself on the back, and the judges say it looks reptilian and kind of creepy. Kenley says that she didn't want to make pretty. Michael calls it cliche, and Kenley whines that it isn't cliche. THEN - the horror - when Heidi says that the petals on the bottom aren't very elegant, Kenley whined back that she wasn't going for elegance, in the bitchiest possible way. Heidi looked completely taken aback. Will this woman never shut up? Nina calls her for being so defensive, and when Heidi calls her annoying, Kenley whines about how she isn't at all. Uck. Go away, Kenley.
They finish by asking the designers why they should go to fashion week, and ask who they want to go with them. Many tears ensue. Jerell says that he thinks the 50's are over, and Kenley got defensive about it, and Jerell shut her down, saying that she'll get her turn and need to shut it. Leanne promises not to do a boring show, and wants Jerell and Korto with her in the finals. Korto also wants Jerell and Leanne with them. Kenley whines that she was trashed, and that she takes the most risks, and defends her fighting by saying that she is a fighter. She wants Leanne and Jerell to go with her.
It's a tough discussion for the judges. Leanne did a good job, but got lost in some of the finish. Jerell is intruiging, but loses the little details. Korto's design was so pageanty, but they appreciate her style. They did not like Kenley's dress, but hate her attitude. Michael Kors said "What would happen if a buyer didn't liker her design? Would she take out a knife and stab them?" I laughed. But, they also said that Kenley is interesting.
Leanne and Jerell had the highest scores this week, with Korto and Kenley in the bottom. Jerell won this final challenge, but Heidi said "just barely." She then drops the bomb that they couldn't come up with a loser, so all four are going home to create lines for potentially showing at fashion week. Only three of them will show for fashion week, so there will be another elimination when they come back, and even Jerrel won't be safe. Kenley sat out a group hug, and I still can't stand her.
Even still, I think they made the right decision. It was really too close to call the bottom tonight. On attitude, Kenley should have gone, but on design, Korto's was a mess.

Jerell's Design: The bodice looks ill-fitted and too low, but the colors and beading is quite nice. It looks a bit like a maternity dress to me.
Kenley's Design: It isn't as 50's as I would expect, and it is interesting. Humph.
Starting with Leanne, the judges like the detail, but also have a problem with the blue bustle on the ass. The judges think that Korto's dress is a little pageanty, and call it bad fabric choice with shoddy beading and weird lace that didn't fit. Korto began to cry, and I'm sad for her. Heidi mentioned that she wanted to yank up Jerell's bodice, and I'm glad that she mentioned that. Nina calls it youthful, but says it looks messy. Michael says it's off in an interesting way. They give Jerell a chance to explain what he would have done with more time. Kenley pats herself on the back, and the judges say it looks reptilian and kind of creepy. Kenley says that she didn't want to make pretty. Michael calls it cliche, and Kenley whines that it isn't cliche. THEN - the horror - when Heidi says that the petals on the bottom aren't very elegant, Kenley whined back that she wasn't going for elegance, in the bitchiest possible way. Heidi looked completely taken aback. Will this woman never shut up? Nina calls her for being so defensive, and when Heidi calls her annoying, Kenley whines about how she isn't at all. Uck. Go away, Kenley.
They finish by asking the designers why they should go to fashion week, and ask who they want to go with them. Many tears ensue. Jerell says that he thinks the 50's are over, and Kenley got defensive about it, and Jerell shut her down, saying that she'll get her turn and need to shut it. Leanne promises not to do a boring show, and wants Jerell and Korto with her in the finals. Korto also wants Jerell and Leanne with them. Kenley whines that she was trashed, and that she takes the most risks, and defends her fighting by saying that she is a fighter. She wants Leanne and Jerell to go with her.
It's a tough discussion for the judges. Leanne did a good job, but got lost in some of the finish. Jerell is intruiging, but loses the little details. Korto's design was so pageanty, but they appreciate her style. They did not like Kenley's dress, but hate her attitude. Michael Kors said "What would happen if a buyer didn't liker her design? Would she take out a knife and stab them?" I laughed. But, they also said that Kenley is interesting.
Leanne and Jerell had the highest scores this week, with Korto and Kenley in the bottom. Jerell won this final challenge, but Heidi said "just barely." She then drops the bomb that they couldn't come up with a loser, so all four are going home to create lines for potentially showing at fashion week. Only three of them will show for fashion week, so there will be another elimination when they come back, and even Jerrel won't be safe. Kenley sat out a group hug, and I still can't stand her.
Even still, I think they made the right decision. It was really too close to call the bottom tonight. On attitude, Kenley should have gone, but on design, Korto's was a mess.
Can't wait to see what they can do with some actual time!
