The night started with a season recap, including Margie and Luke dealing with language difficulties and heat stroke, Jamie being loud and obnoxious, and Tammy and Victor learning to communicate with each other like grown ups.
The final destination city is Maui, Hawaii, and they have to get to Beach Access 118 when they get there.
Tammy and Victor are off first, but it didn't really matter who got out first, because they all ended up on the same flight. Out of the airport, Tammy and Victor got the first cab, followed by Jamie and Cara, and Margie and Luke.
Once they get to the beach, they have to prep a pig for a traditional island luau, and then carry it 200 yards, then properly cover it to be cooked, before getting the next clue.
They changed into beachwear in the cabs. Jamie and Cara got into itty bitty green bikinis. Everyone talked about how gross it was, but off they went bearing pigs. Jamie and Cara had to drop the pig several times, and were passed by Margie and Luke. Margie and Luke also passed Tammy and Victor. The other two had had a really hard time getting their pigs back up. Cara was totally weak, and so was Tammy. Jamie told Cara "This is how you lose a million dollars." Possibly, it is.. not as much as stopping to pee, but still, suck it up.
Tammy was crying and screaming, but they finally got to the pit, but not before Margie and Luke were all done.
The next stop was the beach at McGregor Point, where they have to search among 100 buoys to find their next clue,on a jet ski.
Tammy and Victor did the covering wrong and had to go back. They and Jamie and Cara finished about the same time, with Tammy and Victor having a slight lead.
Margie drove the jet ski, and she got annoyed at Luke for continually yelling at her. Then, she fell off the jet ski, and Luke fell off too. They still found the clue before the others got there. Tammy and Victor got the clue second.
The next stop is the Surfboard fence off the Hana Highway.
Roadblock
It's the traditional memory task - search through a giant pile of surfboards to find 11 that have pictures that correspond to things along their route, and build a surfboard fence with them in order.
Luke did the task, because he apparently had an amazing memory.
Jamie and Cara again ran into trouble with a cab driver who wasn't sure of where they were supposed to go. He was on the phone with his supervisor who said "You need to tell your people I am not their personal concierge, and I am not going to look for this place for them." Ummm... isn't getting people to a destination what taxi driver is paid to do? I mean, Jamie and Cara might not be the most pleasant people, but still. Finding locations is the job of a taxi driver. Am I wrong?
In the end, they ended up calling the police department to get directions. They got their directions, and then their cabbie stopped for gas. I would be livid if I were them.
Victor and Tammy got the the roadblock and Victor did the task. Luke was doing a great job, and both he and Victor ended up taking pants off because they kept falling off. Luke got one wrong! Oh no!
At least Jamie and Cara's cabbie only got a little bit of gas.
Isn't it funny? The two boards that Luke got wrong on his first try were the last two... Victor did some amazing catching up. He had a different tactic, though - he grabbed all the boards he though were right before trying to put them in any sort of order.
Jamie and Cara finally arrived, and Jamie was doing the task.
Luke was having the devil of the time getting the last two right. Jamie didn't seem to get the fact that not all of the surf boards represented things they had done. Luke was trying and trying and trying and Jamie was catching up to him, while Victor finished the task.. Luke decided to to work with Jamie, and he helped her find the first clue, and she helped him find the last ones. Good on them, I think that was only fair.
And now, it's a race to the finish line. Luke was really down on himself, and Jamie was kicking herself for forgetting the church.
It wasn't even close, as Tammy and Victor took the win. I'd say it was deserved, even though I was rooting for Margie and Luke. Tammy and Victor ran a good race, with only a couple spats that made me dislike them. Tammy found it funny that she won with no pants on. (She's got a t-shirt on over her bikini.)
I have to say, the Chinese-language heavy routes really did favor them, though.
Jamie and Cara came in second, and Jamie tried to put herself down for the final Roadblock, but Cara wouldn't have any of it, and let her know that it was a team game, and they were proud of each other.
Finally, Margie and Luke got to the mat, and Phil wanted Luke to admit that Margie is the bionic woman, and Luke expressed his gratitude for his mother being so wonderful and signing, because apparently, a lot of deaf people's parents don't sign, and he is so happy that she does.
What a good season. I just love this show. Waiting for next season now!
Are you happy with the results?

New Show Alert: Fashion Show
How will Bravo handle losing Project Runway (which is premiering on Lifetime in August)? Well, by coming up with a new design show - hosted by Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland, where they have to show for fashion insiders each week. Could be cool, and I'll watch it. Don't think it will be nearly as good as PR, because... well, it lacks Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.
I will not be recapping it right now, but I will watch it, and if it turns out decently, I might pick it up. Did any of my readers watch it? What did you think? Just make you wish for Heidi and Tim?

Finale Part 1 - Hell's Kitchen: 5.7.09
After a ridiculously long 12 minute season recap, highlighting Danny and Paula, it's finally time to get down to business. It's Hell's Kitchen's answer to Restaurant Wars. The final 2 get down to planning, and have a little champagne party. Paula thinks that if she drinks enough champagne, she'll wake up refreshed in the morning. I wonder what kind of champagne that girl has drunk. I think she's trying to get Danny so drunk that he's got a hangover in the morning.
It worked. Unfortunately, Paula also had a hangover. She looked much more able to function in the morning, at least. Paula wants candles in her restaurant, and Danny wants mounted fish. That didn't get good reviews from the designer. Paula wants to call her restaurant Sunergy, and Danny wants to call his Velvet Hammer, or Susan Marie (after his mom). I'd go with the second one.
Paula will be working with Chef Gloria, and Danny will be working with Chef Scott.
The final 2 are off to Atlantic City, and to advise things while they are gone, Ramsey brought back 2 people for each of them... Paula's mother and sister, and Danny's father and girlfriend. That's different. They have 5 minutes to talk to their loved ones about their restaurant vision before taking off on their planes. Paula is nervous that her mom will make everything pink like her childhood bedroom. Yipes. Poor Paula.
Paula wanted real candles, but the fire marshall wouldn't let them have them behind the bar. There were some nice looking electronic candles, and her sister decided that was ok. Danny's girlfriend made some decisions, but it seemed to work out ok when they had web-camera conferences with the chefs.
Meanwhile, at the Borgata, there was more champagne and excellent suites, and a huge gathering of future workers for Paula and Danny, along with their future possible boss. Ramsey showed the Boss Man the Final two's menues, and had him pick what he would order off of each menu.
And then they had to cook it. In 45 minutes. Challenge on, and in an unfamiliar kitchen. They both seemed to do well.
The executive chef from one of the other restaurants at the Borgata tasted their first dish. He thought that Paula's mushroom salad was a little too dressed, and didn't think that Danny's jerked lobster tail tasted much like lobster - and gave the win to Paula on that round.
Another executive chef came out to taste the second course. He thought that Paula's soup was delicious, and Danny's salad got a yummy stamp of approval. He said it was a tough call, but went with Danny. I wonder if that was a fix so that the vote would come down to the final dish.
The Big Boss Man came out to judge the third course. Danny's dish took it, and he won.
What did he win? Don't know yet. I'm guessing first school yard pick of older contestants to help them. Because you know that's coming.
Back at Hell's Kitchen, Paula was ok with the fake candles, and Danny got some really tacky mounted fish, which he was happy with. Ok then.
One last challenge - "key ingredients they both need" are under domes on a table. It's the expected eliminated contestants. It was kind of creepy, and someone's going to get stuck wit Lacey. Andrea, LA, Ben, Carol, and Giovanni will make up their brigades.
I was right. Danny got first pick, and picked Ben. Paula picked Andrea. Danny picked Giovanni, and Paula picked LA. Danny picked Carol, and Paula got stuck with Lacey. On the same team as Andrea. That ought to be a mess.
And we won't see it until next week!

Survivor Tocantins: 5.7.09
Will this be the week we get rid of Coach? Please?
Post-Tribal, everyone is happy that "the drama" is gone. Coach is on a rampage because Erinn wrote down Stephen's name and Taj wrote down Debbie. He raged to Debbie "We need to bring in the Warrior Alliance. There's a reason it has a name." Because, as we all know, giving something a name gives it more validity. Maybe Coach is a fan of A Wizard of Earthsea, where names hold ultimate power... I don't know. Whatever his reasoning, he's a loon. He went on about how bold and honest he is. Debbie urged him to let it go, because it would drive him nuts. Um, Debbie? He's already there.
After Debbie left him, he complained about cowards all around him, and claimed to not care about the million dollars, but about honor and integrity.
It's all a little too much for Debbie, and she questions the wisdom of sticking with Coach. He's not doing anything around camp, and kind of lounging and lying around being bitter. She talked to JT and the others and said that she's rethinking a lot of her decisions.
It's kind of driving Stephen crazy (and he did a decent impression of her), but she popped up while Stephen was chatting with JT, and pinky-swore that she was there with the two of them. Hmmm.
Reward Challenge
It's time for the Survivor Auction! Everyone has $500, with bidding in $20 increments. They cannot share money, and cannot share food.
First up was french fries. Taj bid $40, and Debbie (in a failure of math knowledge) tried to bid $50 and $70, finally winning at $100.
Coach got a chicken parm meal with wine for $320.
A mystery item went to JT for $160. And it was a good thing. Nachos, with guacamole and salsa.
Another mystery item went to Stephen for $100, and it was Brazilian chicken hearts. I've had Brazilian chicken hearts, and they are delicious.
Last item - Samsung Instinct (by Sprint), loaded with video messages from home. Only one person can buy it and win it. People can pool money for this one. Taj was given all the money, and she got it for $20 because no one else was going to bid against her.
Can I just say, tears in my eyes seeing her family on that phone. There were also tears in Taj's eyes. She broke down entirely. Her husband ended the message by saying "See you back at camp," and Jeff had to tell her what that meant - literally, see her back at camp. He's the only loved one who is back at camp, unless Taj sends herself AND him to Exile Island, in which case, everyone else will get a loved one back at camp.
Hello, easy decision! Gee, some privacy with her husband, AND good graces of tribemates? Granted, it's not a luxury setting for a reunion, but I think there is only one choice to make.
Everyone else was so thrilled to hear her decision, and she practically sprinted to Exile and her husband. She admitted in confessional to wanting a conjugal visit, and he commented that she's lost a lot of weight, and she said "well, I don't eat!" He said that something about the wild made her sexy, even though she didn't smell great. lol.
Back at camp, the reunions were sweet. JT's sister, Stephen's brother, Debbie's husband, Erinn's dad, Coach's.... assistant coach.
Coach told his assistant coach "Guess what they call me in this game? They call me Dragonslayer." Wait, what? Who calls him Dragonslayer again? The voices in his head? I thought so. And then his assistant coach cracked his back. That's love.
The Survivors shared local delicacies with their loved ones, like a fruit that smells like dirty feet. Yummy.
Over at Exile, Taj's husband was a little shocked at the wildlife, and started a fire in two seconds flat (according to the editors). Very cool. He gave her a nice foot rub, and it was very sweet. They are a very attractive couple.
Back at camp, Stephen kind of broke down a little. JT told his sister he wished he could be with the cows. Debbie feels like she's become a better person because of being on Survivor. Erinn's dad was impressed about how un-girly she is at camp. It was good for her to have someone who cared about her to talk to for a bit.
All too soon, it was time for the loved ones to go.
After they were gone, Debbie approaced JT with some ideas on how to get rid of Coach. Even though I wouldn't trust her farther that I could throw her, I hope she prevails, because I can't stand Coach. JT said that he doesn't know if he can trust someone who turns like that so quickly.
Coach wants to get rid of Taj, because he doesn't want her to play the immunity idol. When Coach is off gathering wood, the others talk and want to get rid of Coach, but say it needs to be a blindside, but a unanimous one. Debbie said that everyone's pretty well had it with Coach. She thinks it should be Erinn and Taj after him. She promised either JT or Stephen that she would hand over an immunity idol to one of them, so she could be voted off third, and she swore to god. Stephen said "I don't know Debbie that well, and I don't know what her relationship with God is, but it's tempting." JT said that he didn't know if she could be trusted, since she was so quick to make such huge promises... and they boys seem tighter with Erinn.
Immunity Challenge
They have to make their way through obstacles, into a field, with 10 spinning math symbols. They have to memorize the symbols, bring them back to the start, write down the symbols in the right order, and solve the equation properly to win. Wow. Tricky.
The first bit in the course is a dig under a log, and JT got himself a bit stuck when his hole wasn't big enough, and Taj followed suit. JT got out easily and raced through the rest of the course to try his luck at the memorization.
Debbie was through second, followed by Coach, then Taj, and Stephen did some falling. And more falling. If he could get to the math, he'd probably do fine...
JT and Debbie were working on the math, and Stephen seemed to get all the symbols at his first go. JT and Stephen were fighting for the finish... were either of them right? Stephen got it! I'm so happy for him. He had a complicated memorization scheme, having to do with making each symbol worth a number, and people being able to remember a 7 digit number, so he made them into a phone number, basically. I'm impressed. Go Stephen, crazy, sandy eyes and all.
JT couldn't help but feel happy about Stephen's win, because they have such a good alliance. I hope that no one tries to get JT out now. That would be not good.
Back at camp, JT and Stephen are feeling pretty good about the win, and talked to Taj, telling her about her chat with Debbie. Stephen and JT chatted alone, and Stephen said "The more I think about it, this Debbie thing is not a good idea." Coach came to join them in the water, and did not seem very welcome. Coach always needs to be reassured that things are going his way, and is sure that he or JT or Stephen is going to win it. Pompous. Ass. Nuff said.
JT says that the sooner he can get rid of the people who he's lied to out of the game, the better.
Tribal Council
Probst instantly talked to Coach about his vow to bring the strongest people to the end, and Coach said that his idea of strength might be different than other people's. He sited Stephen as being a boy who went from reading about adventure, to living the adventure. He also says that Debbie's unwavering loyalty makes her strong. Ha.
When asked about Coach, Taj said that he is a "warrior" and a "dragonslayer," and when pressed, she said, "well, that's what he calls himself." Coach instantly denied coming up with that moniker, and Probst, in one of the funniest moves of the season, if not ever, said "Let me guess, it was a tribal chief." Coach said that he likes it when Probst cuts him down to try to ferrett out the truth, but then doesn't offer any up. He said that Taj is strong because of her strength in giving up time with her family, and said it would be difficult to vote her out because of it. Probst asked if JT if Coach is one of the strong ones to bring to the end, and he said that he is honest and strong, so yeah. Debbie then said that Coach's commitment to honesty might be his achiles heel. Debbie talked too much, I think, if Coach is going to get votes tonight. She seemed to think so - looking rather smug.
And she did vote for him - so we'll see if others follow suit (please please please). Taj did not play the hidden idol. She didn't need to, because Debbie was voted out. I kind of expected that, because she was so smug and quick to change her alliances, and that was kind of squirelly.
Now, Coach is more alone. Please let him be gone next. But first, I want a tantrum. A big, fat, insane tantrum.

American Idol - 5.6.09: Results Show
I don't know what was up with Seacrest in the mosh pit with Queen Lights on him, but it was a bad idea all around. Then he had to make his grand staircase entrance. Also a bad idea. I don't like that staircase. I don't think the stage manager does, either.
I am totally stoked about both No Doubt and Daughtry. And Paula is performing, too!! Cool. Ought to be fun.
The Ford Video was kind of lame again this week. The music fell kind of flat, like their paper cutout selves. Something missing in it, not sure what.
And now, Slash is playing lead guitar for the group sing of School's Out. Adam did a good job, and Kris tried to keep up, but I think that Danny sounded shouty. At least they seem to be singing live tonight. Allison also sounded kind of bad. She looked hot, though. And Slash is all kinds of awesome. I think these four don't sound very good together. Something about their voices just don't mesh well. It was kind of a trainwreck.
Slash got to plug his album, but mysteriously. It sounds like it's going to be kind of like Santana's collaborative albums. Might be good.
Seacrest asked the Final 4 how they were feeling, and Kris said he was stunned to be there, and Simon said they don't need humble anymore. Adam professed his love for rock. Danny listened back to himself from last night and said that his own Aunt muted him. He said he couldn't stop laughing and thought it was his funniest moment on American Idol. He blamed acoustics for his gaff. Um, no. Allison said that she didn't want to talk back, but felt that she had to. I agree with her.
Paula! I do enjoy Paula's music. After last year's collaboration with Randy, she's got an album coming out. My hubby is excited. I wish that the electronic effects had been left out. She is probably lip syncing, that's for sure. She's got a microphone hooked up to a weeble, wobbling but not falling down. She did some leaping around on dancing boys, who flipped her around like a ragdoll. Even though she was totally lip syncing, the dancing was really nifty and I could dig it. I don't like her non-performance outfit, which looks like a snakeskin thing with a very large large necklace.
And now it's No Doubt! Gwen has put a slightly new spin on Just a Girl. I don't love the new thing, because I love the old thing. I'm glad to see the band back together, though. I liked Gwen's solo stuff, but I love love love No Doubt. I can even forgive Gwen for naming her son Zuma. She's astounding on all levels. The vocals tonight weren't great... but, she's Gwen. I think the camera man lost her for a second. That was distracting, swooping all over the place randomly. I love that the drummer (Adrien?) was in a tutu.
Why are we here again? Right... results.
But first, let's take a look at some past finalists on their home visits upon reaching the Top 3. I miss Blake Lewis and wish he was doing more. He's so cool. Do any of my lovely readers have his album? Worth having? And, oops - I'd forgotten about Syesha.
Finalists are announced in random order tonight, with stools for the lucky three.
Ryan recaps everyone's comments before revealing anything. The first one safe is .... Kris!!! Awesome!!! I'm so happy he made it through. He looked stunned. I think he expected to go home. Good for him. I just love him. So does his wife, who looked about ready to storm the stage.
And before we find out who joins him, it's Daughtry time! I loved Daughtry when he was on Idol, and I love the first album.. I'm guessing I'll love the second album, too. I don't love his funky chin-framing facial hair, but I can forgive him for it. I love the tone of his voice. It's so gosh darned GOOD.
Is Kara wearing something from the Jettson's??? Just wondering.
Chris lamented that there were no instruments allowed on his season, and then was presented a plaque in honor of selling more than 5 million copies. nice.
So, back to the nitty gritty...
Adam is in.
It's down to Allison (please please please) and Danny O'Shouty Gokey.
And Allison is going home.
I am so sad right now. I wanted her to be in the top 2. Danny did not deserve to go on after last night. It was so dreadful.
I wish Allison the best, and hope to hear a whole lot from her in the future. She's wonderful. She sometimes looks like a troll doll, but she's my favorite troll doll.
And I'm happy to get the chance to hear her recap song. She gave the performance her all and rocked it out. Just like she did last night. And that's why more people should have voted for her.
Now, I'm really rooting for Kris.
The way I look at voting is "Would I want to hear this on the radio?" For Adam, though he is supremely talented, I don't think I would like to hear him on the radio. On Broadway? Absolutely. Danny, maybe... but not if he ever - and I mean EVER - makes noises like he made last night ever again. Not even in private. And Kris? I just find his voice and style appealing. I would like to hear him on the radio. I'd like to hear Allison, too.
*sigh*
Is next week judge's choice? I think it's Judge's Choice and Contestant Choice, historically...
How do you feel about the Top 3?
Right... results.

American Idol - 5.5.09: Rock Week
(Note - I just got back from the hospital and have 6 stitches in my left ring finger from a foolish kitchen accident, so I might not be as verbose as normal)
I'm not the only one with accidents today! There was some set malfunction on the stage, so the contestants didn't get a proper run through. Oops.
Slash is the guest mentor tonight, and he had them practice at full volume with a band. That's cool.
Adam (Whole Lot of Love) - He sounded a little hoarse in rehearsal, but I think this is a fabulous song for him, and he's got his Rocker costume going in full effect. I thought he got kind of whiny sounding, and I didn't love it. The Adam lovers are going to adore it, I'm sure... Randy loved it. Kara called him a rock god (she matched him in a studded leather jacket). Paula called it a whole lot of perfect. Simon joked that it was understated, and said nobody can top it.
Allison (Cry baby) Holy cow, she sounded good in rehearsal. She sounded amazing in performance, too. I'm so happy that she made it though last week. I think she looked great, and Adam's hair girl did a great job coloring her hair. This is engaging, and so good. The song was perfect for her. Randy said she can sing her face off, but didn't love the song on her. Wrong. Kara said that Janice is the right choice for her, but wish that she'd sung a different song. Paula liked it a lot. Simon says she's come so far, and thought it was terrific, but worried she was trying to sound like Janice too much. Then she talked back to Simon. Not sure about that choice. Simon said (before break) that he was happy to see her stand up for herself.
Kris & Danny (Renegade) I freaking love this song. I worry that Kris is going to have troubles on his own song, because his voice is softer than this calls for. Danny was able to bring it, and sounded quite good. They sounded really great together in the harmonies. Danny did much better. Randy agreed with me - that the harmonies were right on. Kara said they sounded better together, but the song was weird, because they are not renegades. Paula congratulated th production staff for coming up with the idea of duets. Simon said that Danny was better. Ryan reminded everyone that they didn't have a proper dress rehearsal.
Kris (Come Together) Good song choice. I was worried about Kris for song choice, and this is a good one. Yay for Kris! I really enjoy him. Randy loved when he was playing on the guitar, and he enjoyed it. Kara said he was the softer side of rock, but didn't think it was a great performance. Paula called him an artist, but said he needed a little more energy. Simon didn't like it that much, saying it was rather like eating ice for lunch.
Danny (Dream On) The beginning sounds good, but I worry about where he is going at the end with those crazy power notes. Those are hard even for Steven Tyler. And yipes... he went off a LOT on the first long held note. It was just not good. Did he just scat? I'm cringing here. The end was a mess. People are having seizures in my living room from that ending. My friend thinks he is dressed like an accountant. Randy said it was a'ight for him, and gave him an A+ for effort. Kara thinks he took too much of a chance, and then said that early Aerosmith was songs lke Crying and Crazy. Not so much - those are later - WAY later - than Dream On. Paula loves him, even though it was terrible. Simon said the last night was like a horror movie. Agreed.
Allison and Adam (Slow Ride) Allison continues to have really bad ennuncation. This song is on Rockband, so I like to sing it. Allison's voice is lower than Adam's. Adam is wearing Beetlejuice pants. they sound quite good together, but the song is just kind of boring. My husband says this whole show needs more cow bell. At the end of the song, there was much hugging. Nice duet, but I wish they'd chosen a diffent song. Randy called it the bomb, baby. Kara said the duet was right. Paula said they should do a duet together on their eventual album. Simon says they win in the battle of duets. He said Allison was given a chance to stay in the competition by Adam... I disagree. I think she was much better than him tonight.
I'll be voting for Allison and Kris. I want them both to stay. Gokey deserves to go home after that mess. What did you think?

Amazing Race: 5.3.09
The leg continues! Will Jamie and Cara keep their lead? It looks like a good one.
They have to make their way to another place in Bejing. Margie and Luke arrive second to the non-pit stop pit stop. Margie is getting a little frustrated at being with Luke 24-7, even though she still loves him, I can understand that...
The location they went to next was a street mall, and they had to search stores for the Travelocity Traveling Gnome, which would have their next clue on it.
Jen and Kisha were pretty excited (to say the least) that their race was not over yet.
Margie and Luke found the gnome first, followed by Cara and Jamie. They were to go find some electric bicycles, and then bike past the Forbidden City.
Cara and Jamie again had troubles with language barriers, as their cabbie seemed to be ignoring them and didn't acknowlege if he knew anything about their destination.
Tammy and Victor found the bikes first, and then Margie and Luke, and Kisha and Jen. Luke almost barged into Jen on his bike. Don't know if it was intentional. They biked through Tienamen Square, and Tammy and Victor arrived first.
Detour
Bejing Opera - They have to make themselves up as opera characters (Gentleman and Princess) and pass inspection before getting their clue.
Chinese Waiter - They have to take restaurant orders in Mandarin and recite them back to the chef properly, and serve the orders properly, to get their clue.
Seems like Tammy and Victor would have quite the advantage with the Chinese Waiter task... and they did that task, so that was an easy choice. Victor said "If we can't do this task, mom and dad will kill us."
The others chose the Opera task.
Tammy and Victor got most of the orders right, but said Good Luck Squid instead of Fish, so got sent back to the table to take more orders.
At the opera house, Luke was not a good make up artist, and Margie said that Luke made her look like Alice Cooper. It was pretty bad. Luke said "Sorry, I'm not a girl." Luke then said he was finished. Since it is not possible for him to speak or hear Mandarin, I hope that he gives it another go - and he did. But, Kisha and Jen got the make up done first and went to get dressed.
Tammy and Victor got the orders right on the second try and waited for the orders to cook.
Jamie and Cara continued to have language difficulties. They were singing to the cab driver to get their destination across to him, and he brought them to the wrong opera house.
Tammy and Victor headed to the next stop, which was a U-Turn. It was not a blind one this time, and if someone is U-Turned, they have to do the other task. And ouch - Tammy and Victor U-Turned Jen and Kisha.
The teams (not U-turned) headed to a street market where they would find their next clue.
Margie and Luke headed out next. Meanwhile, Tammy and Victor got to the Roadblock. One person must eat a plate full of "crispy critters." Scorpions, starfish, grasshoppers, and beetle larvae. Fried. Victor was not happy, but chowed down. He didn't enjoy it, but he was very cheerful.
Kisha and Jen, meanwhile, wandered around the streets for a good long time looking for the next place. Margie and Luke were also looking in vain, but at least they didn't have a U-turn to look forward to.
And Cara and Jamie still had lots of troubles finding a taxi to take them to the right opera house, spewing a lot of hatred for China and the absense of empty cabs in the process. They finally found the opera house and did well with the makeup, and went out on the street looking for the U-Turn.
Margie and Luke got help and found the next clue, pleased that Kisha and Jen were U-turned.
After the Roadblock, it was Pit Stop time, and the pit stop was the Bird's Nest from the Olympics. Tammy and Victor arrived first, easily. They won a trip for 2 to the Galapagos Islands, with a trained naturalist as their guide. Amazing. I'd love a trip like that.
Margie went to eat, and seemed to do a good job. She didn't enjoy it, but she did it.
Jen and Kisha finally found the U-Turn and wentto the restaurant, still in Opera Dress. Their attempts are writing Mandarin phonetically resulted in such orders as "Monthly Use Taiwanese Chicken" instead of fried chicken, and "Good Western Heads Lack Fish" instead of Vegetarian noodles. Not so much. New taste Beef became "Oil Comes Again the Please the Mouth." Good Luck Fish became "Good Doll Basket Drum." Golden Pork Spareribs became "Light Competition Red Dishes I've Played Before." Frustrating, but hilarious. They finally got it right.
Cara and Jamie were completely annoyed because they just couldn't find the right place, and spent 3 hours looking. I can't blame them for being frustrated. They finally went to the opera hosue again, which was where the clue was, and then they found the next clue.
Kisha and Jen finished the second Detour before Jamie and Cara found the U-turn clue. ouch. Jen decided to eat the fried critters. While she was still eating, Cara and Jamie showed up and Cara decided to eat, and she ate fast. Jen was throwing up, and Cara was knocking it back like it was delicious. Jen was drinkig a ton of water, too, and had to pee, but finished up. Cara chewed her heart out, and Kisha and Jen were looking for a taxi, and it seemed close, but of course it always looks close. It seems to be down to taxi driver ability and running. Finally, Cara and Jamie seemed to get an awesome taxi driver.
Jen stopped to pee before going to the Pit Stop. That could kill them. It was a foot race to try to find Phil.
Jamie and Cara got the the mat third, and it was the pee stop that knocked Kisha and Jen out. She'll be regretting that pee for the rest of her life.
Next week, it's the Final 3, the season Finale. Jamie and Cara look to be pissing people off with their attitude, and there is a lot of running. Can't wait to see it!
I'm rooting for Margie and Luke. And you?
